This program is specifically designed to strengthen healthcare workers' competency in drawing blood specimens accurately, safely, and in accordance with applicable standard procedures.

This refresh training activity was carried out through two main sessions, namely the delivery of comprehensive material and a direct practice session.

1. Material Delivery Session

In the theory session, participants received in-depth discussions on:

• Basic principles of phlebotomy.

• Standard procedures for taking correct blood specimens.

• Selection and use of appropriate tools.

• Post-collection sample handling.

• Occupational safety and security (K3) aspects during the procedure.

2. Hands-on Practice Session

In the practical session, participants have the opportunity to apply the material they have learned directly. This hands-on approach has proven effective in helping participants thoroughly understand the procedure while honing their technical skills in everyday phlebotomy practice.

Through this training, it is hoped that health workers will become more confident in taking blood specimens using the correct technique.
